RUNA Technologies is a Swiss company building private document infrastructure for organisations whose material cannot go to a public AI service.
RUNA began inside a regulated business, with a problem its founder could not solve by buying something. Years of research, regulatory files and internal analysis sat in folders that only a handful of people had read in full. The knowledge was there; reaching it meant knowing which document to open, and that knowledge lived with a small number of experts.
What was on the market could not be used. The data could not go there, and the answers could not be checked. So the system was built instead — and the conversations that followed made clear that the same problem, in the same shape, sits in almost every regulated industry.
That origin still shows in the product. RUNA is built around the questions a regulated organisation has to be able to answer — where did this come from, what does it not cover, who approved it — rather than around a demonstration.
